In addition to providing single tooth implants, Dr. Israeli has developed the same-day dental restoration for complex situations. We call it Immediateeth. More on that can be found in that section. Basically, we magically transform your smile in a mere few hours using dental implants supported full arch prosthesis.

Tell us more about IMMEDIATEETH?

Using zirconium root-shaped fixtures that are implanted directly into the bone gives us a tooth-colored base to build on. From there, we can create a single tooth or multiple tooth porcelain restoration to fit precisely on top of the fixtures, allowing you to have an immediate tooth placed.

What is the procedure for getting a dental implant?

Our patient appreciate that we have invested in a 3D cone beam digital x-rays machine that allows us to clearly see the height, width and density of the bone, so we know exactly what type and style of dental implant will work best for you. In addition, we have a PAN CT Scan machine, which allows many different views of your jawbone, sinus, and even pockets of infection. With this advanced technology and software, we are able to virtually place your implants predictably before we do it in your mouth. In addition, it lets us know in advance if we might need to do bone grafting or even a sinus lift to make room for a secure attachment.

Although the use of a surgical for more complex cases is available, Dr. Israeli prefers to use tried and true proven methods of implant placement, that he has used successfully for the past decade now. Using all this technology and experience, we have the confidence your implants will be placed in the correct position the first time.

What are the options to dental implants?

Traditionally, we used to routinely do a three-unit bridge to replace a single missing tooth. This procedure allowed us to “bridge” the gap created by a missing tooth. While in the past, this was the first solution most dentists offered, it required solid teeth on either side of the missing space. Therefore, if you were missing 2-4 teeth or even the back tooth behind a nearly removed tooth, it posed a challenge. Drilling down two perfectly health teeth to close a gap seemed like a good idea when there was not a favorable option available. With dental implants, the thought of drilling down a perfectly healthy tooth to close a space seems so unnecessary. In addition, now you will have a more challenging area to clean – under the bridge. Over time, you will have to replace the bridge as the tissue shrinks or it gets decay. Each time you replace it, more tooth structure is lost and makes it even more challenging.

Another option that we offer for some of our patients is a partial denture, that is removable. While this can be used as a long-term temporary situation, most people don’t like having something removable with clasps or wires connecting to their own teeth. Over time, it can loosen, and like the three-unit bridge above, it leaves the bone unstimulated below it and therefore, we often see shrinkage of tissue and bone. Most of our patients prefer something a little more durable, more esthetic, and more natural feeling.

How would I know if I am a candidate for dental implants?

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for implants. There are certain health conditions, such as diabetes or physical limitations or even financial restraints that may come into play when deciding which option to take. There are consequences to not restoring your teeth to proper function and esthetics. Some of these are emotional, but most of them are physiological. When you are unable to chew your food properly, it can affect the way you process your food, and this in turn can have a systemic effect. In other words, without proper nutrition, people tend to get sicker more often and their skin and bones can be affected as well. Your oral health is intimately related to your overall health!
