Providing a comfortable and safe dental experience is a top priority for the staff at Sage Dental. With our Board Certified Anesthesiologist, Sage Dental now offers full sedation during dental surgical procedures at your request. For patients who suffer from dental anxiety and don’t respond well to traditional numbing agents or oral sedation medications we offer IV sedation during extended oral surgery procedures. Dr. Israeli and staff work directly with the anesthetist to provide IV sedation in our comfortable and luxurious dental surgical suites. Patients with high fear or anxiety, or those who want multiple or lengthy procedures completed in a single visit, often benefit from the comfortable experience IV sedation provides.
Other sedation options include oral sedatives that are given 30 minutes to an hour before the dental procedure, depending on the severity of the anxiety. Oral sedatives do not provide pain relief, so an injection of local anesthetic will also be administered. Additionally, nitrous oxide gas (also known as laughing gas) is used to induce a state of relaxation. Most patients report that they have little or no memory of the actual dental procedure, post-operatively.
We are committed to creating a positive, rewarding, and relaxing dental visit to each of our patients.
